Standard on Sierra 2500 HD SLE, SLT, AT4 and Denali is the 6 function MultiPro Tailgate. With Primary gate, open the bed of the truck with the key fob or from inside the truck. With Primary Gate Load Stop, open items are prevented from sliding out. Easy Access with the inner gate folded down, makes hand loading easier. The inner gate folds down into a Full Step for climbing in and out of the truck. There is a hand grab provided. The Inner Gate includes a load stop to prevent second tier items from sliding out. The opened Inner Gate is a good work surface or useful loading area.

Engine

The GMC Sierra 2500 HD 4WD comes standard with a 401 hp 6.6L V8 464 lb-ft torque engine with 6 speed automatic or you can change things up to the 445 hp 6.6L V8 Duramax Turbo-Diesel with 910 lb-ft of torque and Allison10-speed automatic powertrain. Diesel fuel is denser so it produces more torque, therefore more acceleration. The end result is it can pull heavier loads when towing and pack more energy per gallon. Max GCWR when properly equipped, 27,500 lbs.
