The 2026 Buick Enclave vs. the Competition

2026 Buick Enclave vs the Competition

The 2026 Buick Enclave is the newest member of the Buick SUV family. It offers great utility and premium touches you expect in a Buick and provides a spacious cabin for up to seven occupants, intuitive infotainment, good fuel economy, and a choice of front- or all-wheel drive. Power comes from a 328-horsepower 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Is the 2026 Enclave the right three-row family SUV for you? Let’s see how it compares to its competition.

2026 Buick Enclave vs Lexus TX

When it comes to premium SUVs, Lexus offers this very popular three-row model that is designed with comfort and advanced technology in mind. There is a variety of powertrains available, starting with a 275-horsepower 2.4-liter turbocharged engine. A hybrid version of the same turbo engine puts down a net 366 horsepower. An eight-speed automatic is connected to the turbocharged engine, while the hybrid uses a six-speed automatic, along with a choice of front- or all-wheel drive. The TX is also available in base, Premium, Luxury, and F Sport trims.

  • When it comes to standard power, the Enclave offers most, with 328 horsepower compared to the TX’s 275.
  • Enclave is available with Super Cruise hands-free driving assistance technology, which allows the driver to enjoy hands-free driving on select stretches of compatible highway. The TX offers a similar function through its Traffic Jam Assist feature, but for limited distances at extremely limited speeds.
  • Cargo space is important when taking the family along for a trip. With every passenger on board, the Enclave has 22.9 cubic feet of space to load with their luggage or camping items – more than the TX’s 20.9 cubic feet.
  • Lexus states it has a great infotainment system. However, does the TX have the Enclave’s Google Built-in system? By using Google Assistant, you can use your natural voice to access features and navigation. You can also expand the number of apps to be used from the Buick’s 30-inch ultrawide display screen.
  • The Enclave is also a great value among premium three-row SUVs. In fact, the Buick’s starting MSRP costs around $10,600 less than the lowest-priced TX.

2026 Buick Enclave vs Mazda CX-90

Sophisticated and spacious are two words that describe the Mazda CX-90. It is a premium vehicle that offer seating for seven. There is a choice of two turbocharged in-line six-cylinder engines and a plug-in hybrid model, which uses a four-cylinder engine. An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard along with all-wheel drive. The CX-90 comes in Select, Preferred, Premium Sport and Premium Plus trim levels.

  • When it comes to standard power, the Enclave offers the more. The Buick’s turbocharged engine has 328 horsepower compared to the CX-90’s 280 – in a turbocharged in-line six cylinder.
  • Mazda proclaims its vehicles have a high safety record. What about driver assistance technology? The Enclave’s available Super Cruise system allows the driver to enjoy hands-free driving on select stretches of compatible highway. It also uses OnStar to enable this system further by using its technology to keep Super Cruise on course. Also, the standard Buick Driver Confidence package delivers a host of features that provide a protective layer to keep you safe and secure.
  • Cargo space is important when taking the family along for a trip. With every passenger on board, the Enclave has 22.9 cubic feet of space to load with their luggage or camping items – more than the CX-90’s 15.9 cubic feet.
  • Third-row room and access are also important for a three-row SUV. It is easier to get into the Encave with its large doors and one-touch, flat-folding, and sliding second-row seats. Once settled in, you enjoy 32.1 inches of leg room in the third row – more than the CX-90’s 30.4 inches of third row legroom.
  • The Enclave has Google Built-in standard for its infotainment system. By using Google Assistant, you can use your natural voice to access features and navigation. You can also expand the number of apps to be used from the Buick’s 30-inch ultrawide display screen. Neither are available on the CX-90.

2026 Buick Enclave vs Acura MDX

Acura’s premium three-row SUV is billed as a “performance” SUV. Seating up to seven people, it is well equipped to do many things. The MDX can be equipped with one of two V-6 engine offerings, including a turbocharged version. All MDXs have a ten-speed automatic transmission wth either front- or all-wheel drive. The MDX comes in base, A-Spec, and Type-S trims, along with additional packages.

  • When it comes to standard power, the Enclave offers the most, with 328 horsepower compared to the 290 delivered by MDX’s larger engine
  • The Enclave’s available Super Cruise allows the driver to enjoy hands-free driving on select stretches of compatible highway. It also uses the technology of OnStar to help with navigation for the system – something Acura does not offer.
  • Cargo space is important when taking the family along for a trip. With every passenger on board, the Enclave has 22.9 cubic feet of space to load with their luggage or camping items – more than the MDX’s 18.1 cubic feet.

The new generation of the Palisade wears a cleaner, bolder design than before. It has always been known as a bold three-row SUV, with seating available for up to eight people.  Palisade offers either a  267-horsepower V-6 engine or a hybrid driveline, which uses a turbocharged four-cylinder. The V-6 model uses an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the hybrid uses a six-speed. Palisade is offered with either front- or all-wheel drive, while trim levels include SE,  SEL, SEL Convenience, SEL Premium, Limited, XRT PRO, and Calligraphy models.

  • When it comes to standard power, the Enclave offers the more. The Buick’s turbocharged engine has 328 horsepower compared to the Palisade’s 267 – in a V6.
