1969 Buick Riviera Advances in 2022 Hot Wheels Legends Tour

There is nothing better than a Buick bringing home the gold, and that’s exactly what happened at the El Segundo stretch of the 2022 Hot Wheels Legends Tour. Just a few weeks ago, husband-and-wife team Mario and Nora Zamudio stole the show with their incomparably custom 1969 Buick Riviera. Gilded in Pagan Gold, the lovely lowrider is the end result of four years of blood, sweat, and tears from the LA-based pair.

This incredible car contains an extensive list of impressive features, including a custom interior, shaved body molding, full hydraulic suspension, and the original Buick 430 V8 engine. Rated at 360 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque, this beast of an engine has been turning heads for more than 50 years. Consider this a friendly reminder: you just can’t beat the classics.

By winning the El Segundo leg of the 2022 Hot Wheels Legends Tour, Mario and Nora Zamudio will advance on to the semi-finals. There, they will compete for the ultimate prize: getting their car scaled down to Hot Wheels size. Then, after the finals of the competition, the 1/64 scale model of the winning car will be available for purchase online as well as in person at select retail stores across the country.
