Buick Enclave Avenir Makes 2025 Wards 10 Best Interiors & UX List

While most automotive publications and websites annually select a vehicle or group of vehicles that impress them the most, Wards Auto takes a different approach. It focuses on the two areas where the owner interacts with the vehicle the most: drivetrain and interior/UX (user experience) systems. The editors evaluate what is new for the year and choose the ten vehicles that stand out the most. The 2025 Yukon Denali made this list, but this Ewing Buick-GMC post is about another vehicle that made the 2025 Wards 10 Best Interiors & UX list: the Buick Enclave Avenir. 

The Enclave, of course, is Buick’s largest model, a full-size three-row crossover. It shares a platform and drivetrains with the GMC Acadia but has little in common when it comes to exterior and interior design. “Avenir” is similar to GMC’s “Denali” in that it signifies the most luxurious model within a Buick model line. The Buick Enclave Avenir has a starting MSRP of $59,695. The entry-level Preferred grade starts at $46,595. Wards appreciates Buick’s interior design approach, as last year’s new Buick model, the Envista, was also named to Ward’s 10 Best Interiors & UX list. 

Visually, the editors at Wards were captivated by the Avenir’s ivory and deep-sea blue interior combination, which “conjures images of the Grecian coast on a summer’s day.” They found the light ivory surfaces on the seats, dash, and doors enhanced the interior’s sense of spacious airiness, with the blue trim and seat piping—along with the satin silver trim, brass metal accents, and brown wood surfaces—providing just the right amount of contrast. They noticed the gradient pattern of the perforated leather and the Bose Audio metallic speaker grilles with “a sunburst-like design and a faceted metallic ring.”  

A slideshow of ten images showcased the features mentioned above, as well as the flowing zigzag stitch pattern on the perforated leather seats, the fold-flat second-row seats (that create a flat cargo area and that fold forward for easy access to the third row), and the tasteful “Avenir” embroidery on the headrests. They also found the seats comfortable, citing “good padding and lumbar support,” and noted plenty of legroom in the second and third rows.  

Of course, the other half of the award focuses on UX (user experience) regarding the controls and the infotainment system. The Enclave Avenir also excelled here. To start with, the 30-inch diagonal display screen, which includes both the driver information and center touchscreen, impressed not only with its size but also with its crisp and clear graphics. The menus were described as “well-organized and easy to navigate.”  

Like the Yukon Denali and other award winners, the Enclave’s infotainment system is powered by the Google Built-in operating system, which Wards considers a smart choice. They found the phone pairing process to be straightforward, and the system responded quickly and accurately to voice commands thanks to the onboard Google Assistant voice recognition system. They thought the voice system was helpful for entering navigation destinations, with directions clearly displayed on the color head-up display. 

Wards 10 Best Judge Bob Gritzinger offered this summary: “[The Enclave Avenir] strikes all the right chords. This is the lap of premium-ness and puts Buick on another level against the competition.” 

While some of the trim details are unique to the Avenir, the Google Built-in operating system and 30-inch pair of screens are standard across the model line.
