Five Things to Know About the 2024 Acadia

It’s Big Again

When the Acadia launched for the 2007 model year, it was a full-size 3-row crossover, sharing a platform and size with the Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Enclave. Ten years later, the second-generation Acadia remained a 3-row crossover but was reduced in size. It had a 6.5-inch shorter wheelbase, about 7 inches shorter, and 3.5 inches narrower.

For 2004, the Acadia returned to its full size and then some. The wheelbase stretches from 112.5 to 120.9 inches, the overall length is 203.9 inches, and the width is 79.6 inches. All these dimensions surpass even the first-generation model. Competitively, this makes the Acadia 5.3 inches longer than a Ford Explorer, 7.3 longer than the Hyundai Palisade, and 2.6 longer than the Toyota Grand Highlander. The result is a third row that is fit for any adult for any distance, with one of the biggest stats for 3rd-row legroom at 32.14 inches. Cargo space behind the 3rd seat has also increased by 80%, with 36% more space behind the 2nd row.

All-New Infotainment System

All Acadia models feature a new Google Built-in-operated infotainment system featuring a very easy-to-use and navigate 15-inch touchscreen display. Google Maps, the world’s favorite navigation system, is on board without the need for a phone connection. The intuitive Google Assistant voice command system is also part of the system, and additional Google apps are available to download. The convenience of wireless charging for your phone is also standard.

AT4’s Off-road Ability

Above the Elevation grade sit two flagship grades, each with its own focus. The AT4 aims at the family that wants to camp far beyond the end of the pavement and has no trouble leaving after it rained all night. It features a 1-inch lift in ride height, wide track, and standard all-terrain tires. The AWD system has added Active Torque Control, which features twin-clutch rear differentials to direct power to the side where it is most beneficial. Hill Descent Control keeps the speed steady to let you concentrate on steering when encountering a challenging downhill patch. Integrated skid plate, tow hooks, and some off-road appropriate appearance trim complete the package.

Denali Luxury

The Denali sub-brand has earned its place by offering impressive luxurious features and ambiance inside and out. The Acadia Denali keeps the faith with 22-inch machine-finish alloy wheels, a unique grille, and exclusive exterior trim accents. 

Inside, you will immediately notice the panoramic, pillar-to-pillar sunroof, laser-etched wood trim with Galvano chrome accents, and perforated leather-appointed heated and ventilated front seats and heated second-row outboard seats. Those second-row seats can fold with the push of a button, as can the third-row seats. The 12-speaker Bose® audio system has active noise-canceling technology. A 16-speaker system is also available. 

Super Cruise

GM’s world-leading Super Cruise truly hands-free highway driving system is available on all 2024 Acadia models. Not just for Interstates, GM has mapped over 400,000 miles of roads in North America where the system will be operable and plans to have 720,000 miles by the end of 2024. The system can let you drive without your hands on the wheel or feet on the pedals and even automatically change lanes to pass.
