Earlier this year, Buick announced their next concept vehicle: the Wildcat EV. Created as a symbol of the automaker’s dedicated to an all-electric future, the Wildcat features bold design to demonstrate the direction the brand is heading.

Looking Ahead

The wildcat’s body stands low and wide. As soon as you step toward the Wildcat, you’re met with a micro-LED wakeup animation to greet you. The newly-designed Buick logo with three-badge design is at the forefront of the fascia, accented by an ultra-low grille. Futuristic details like a wraparound windshield and sleek exterior make a dramatic impression from front to back – and everywhere in between. The exterior flows with aluminum trim that extends to the interior, and the state of charge indicator gives you instant power status all the way down to the 18-spoke wheels.

Even though it’s a traditional 2-door coupe, the interior is detailed with “modern warmth” and loaded with comfort. As soon as you enter via the semi-swing doors, you’ll be impressed with the spacious feel. Made of premium materials, every surface of the interior is surprisingly inviting for having so many futuristic details. The headrests are designed to look like they’re floating, while colored accents set the cockpit-like seats apart. Making use of touchscreens, the Wildcat offers a large infotainment center with accompanying console screen for entertainment access at your fingertips.

Between the AI and biometrics, you’ll see what the next generation of vehicles is truly capable of. If the Wildcat experiences driver stress signals, like elevated heartrate, it will automatically activate features like Zen Mode and aromatherapy. Activated features like a massaging seat and dimmed lights create a sense of calm to help the driver relax and focus on the drive ahead.

A Nod to the Present

Although the Wildcat features new design concepts and technology, it’s able to bridge the gap between Buick’s current lineup. You’ll find familiar features like built-in Amazon Alexa, digital Heads-Up display, and the high-tech Automatic Parking Assist. These features and more come together with next-gen design and more technology to bring Buick into the all-electric future.
