GMC Hummer EV Teams Up with Activision for Call of Duty Debut
GMC’s Hummer EV makes a debut in the highly anticipated Call of Duty franchise with this fall’s Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 releases. That means that, for the first time, an all-electric supertruck will be available as a playable component in a Call of Duty game.

As the world’s first electric supertruck, the Hummer EV came back with a bang, offering its customers all the features they love about the brand with a new twist. Known as an impressively durable vehicle with a military background, the Hummer first made a debut for consumers in 1992. Now, 30 years later, it brings the iconic vehicle into the modern era with a supertruck and SUV version. With its next-level off-road capabilities and modern tech, the Hummer EV makes sense in Call of Duty’s world. What started as a military transport vehicle is now available to consumers, and its appearance in Call of Duty bridges the gap between real life and video games.
Players are able to make use of the 1,000 horsepower Hummer as a drivable vehicle in Warzone 2.0. They can travel across its map with Adaptive Air Ride Suspension and Crabwalk – just like the real thing. Also making an apperance in Modern Warfare II, the Hummer EV makes an impression. Unlike other vehicles of its size, the Hummer EV is quit, allowing for players to creep into enemy territory without being detected, and allows for 0-60 in 3 seconds to quickly get out of tricky situations. With its off-road features and fast but quiet operation, there’s no doubt that players will love using an EV in their favorite game.
