GMC TO DEBUT REVAMPED 2023 CANYON IN SUMMER 2022

General Motors will reveal the next-generation 2023 Canyon by the end of summer 2022, including the GMC Canyon AT4X. This featured prototype, that has recently made the automotive headlines, boasts outstanding off-road abilities and a tougher, taller façade. This new trim is reminiscent of the new full-size GMC Sierra HD and the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 models. It will be the second GMC truck to inherit the AT4X trim, an optimized off-road performance trim offering serious capabilities and refinements.

With these reported updates, it looks like GMC is setting the 2023 Canyon apart from its counterpart, the Chevy Colorado, while steering more towards the GMC line of trucks.

The visible difference between the current Canyon on the market and the up-and-coming Canyon AT4X prototype is with the wheels, grille, lights and size. The current model has 20-inch wheels and standard AT4 trim with 1-inch suspension, while the new Canyon boasts lots of ground clearance, 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels, a broader horizontal-lined grille, improved aerodynamics, side step-ups in the corners of the rear bumpers, a LED signature strip up top, two forward-facing lamps and vertical tail lamps. With all of these desirable features, it’s easy to see why this mid-size truck is soon to be the talk of the town.

Although the powertrain remains a mystery to date, it’s rumored that the next-generation Canyon will show-off a L3B 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, making 325 horsepower and a whopping 380-pound-feet of torque.
