GMC Yukon Denali Receives 2025 Wards 10 Best Interiors and UX Award

July 10th, 2025 by

The measurement of a great interior is how it engages with those who touch it. Although sitting down and enjoying the view is a start, there’s a lot more that goes into today’s interiors than ever before. When Wards Auto announces its list of 10 Best Interiors and UX (user experience) Award winners, you know you made the grade—and the 2025 GMC Yukon Denali made this year’s list.

Wards Auto awards these vehicles by looking at the interior and UX execution of new or heavily refreshed vehicles. The judges at Wards Auto look at “design aesthetics, comfort, materials, fit-and-finish, connectivity and infotainment, and displays and controls, as well as advanced driver-assistance system content and value.”

The first thing people will notice about the Yukon Denali is the color of the interior—especially the seats. GM Authority quoted Wards Auto by saying that “the GMC Yukon Denali employs a less aggressive, but still beautiful, pale brown tone to decorate its western-themed cabin.” This refers to the perforated leather teak/light shale color scheme.

Wards Auto cited the Yukon Denali’s use of the Android Automotive operating system by Google on the 16.8-inch Premium GMC Infotainment system’s touchscreen. GM Authority cited Wards Auto’s comments about the infotainment system, stating that the “Android OS simply works well, and by not […] reinventing the wheel, automakers can concentrate on design and user-experience innovations that better delight customers.”

The key to the Android Automotive system is Google built-in, driving apps that are enabled through Google Assistant. Apps, such as Google Maps, are now part of the Premium GMC Infotainment system. Music and information are facilitated by a 10-speaker Bose CenterPoint surround sound audio system—proof that you do not need dozens of speakers to reproduce sound in a beautiful way.

Augmenting the infotainment screen are premium features like the 11.0-inch diagonal color Driver Information System. This fully digital screen can be customized with the information you need, such as fuel efficiency. In addition, all Denali models come with a 15.0-inch multicolor head-up display, designed to keep the driver’s eyes on the road with key information displayed on the windshield.

The greatest luxury of them all is a spacious interior for up to eight people across three rows, combined with generous cargo space that is second to none in its size class. A Yukon Denali delivers a luxurious experience that welcomes everyone inside for a comfortable and entertaining ride—especially when that ride is across the state of Texas.
