​​Introducing the 2027 GMC Sierra 1500​ 

The GMC Sierra 1500 has long served as a benchmark for how capable, durable, and sophisticated a full-size half-ton pickup can be, and we’re proud to announce the new 2027 Sierra 1500, which is due to arrive at dealers later this fall, takes that reputation a step further with a bolder design, expanded technologies, a new lineup of gasoline V-8 engines, and more capability than ever before. 

Mechanically speaking, the big news on the 2027 Sierra 1500 is a pair of all-new sixth-generation small-block V-8 gasoline engines, measuring in at 5.7- and 6.6-liters of displacement, respectively. These new engines incorporate advances in combustion, cooling, and control systems that enhance refinement, performance, durability, and efficiency. These new engines are offered alongside the TurboMax four-cylinder engine and the 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel six-cylinder options, but regardless of the engine choice, power is sent to either rear- or all four wheels through a ten-speed automatic transmission. 

What lies above the hood is a cab and bed design that offers a more powerful stance than before. With signature GMC lighting elements and a larger grille, it continues to be unmistakenly Sierra 1500. The innovative and incredbily versatile MultiPro Tailgate continues to be offered in the new 2027 Sierra 1500.  

Inside the cab is a blend of upmarket materials and advanced technologies. On that last point, the instrument panel now incorporates more screen real estate than before – on the Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate, for instance, there’s now more tha 60 inches of digital displays, including a new 16.3-inch diagonal infotainment touchscreen, an 11.5-inch diagonal front passenger screen, a 12.2-inch driver information display, a 15-inch diagonal Head Up Display, and an 8.5-inch diagonal Rear Camera Mirror. The center and front passenger screens are articulated, and reveal hidden storage compartments for small personal items. 

Premium touches are now more elevated in the 2027 Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate with forged wood accents. Sierra 1500 Crew Cab occupants will enjoy more headroom than before. The new MultiPro center console adds more versatility and utility up front. That includes a work surface or those oof us that are on the job. No matter which trim level you choose, expect uncompromising comfort with excellent engagement for all occupants.  

Sierra Denali Ultimate customers also receive a three-year subscription for the Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance system. This enables a driver to enjoy hands-free driving on over 600,000 miles of compatible highways nationwide. 

The 2027 Sierra 1500 will also be available in Pro, Elevation, AT4, AT4X, and Denali trim levels.
