IS IT TIME TO GET TIRE REPLACEMENTS?

Tires require routine maintenance, such as rotation, to keep them in good shape. When you do that, tires can last for up to 10 years or even longer. You will know tires are ready for replacement if:

• They have visible damage on them – These damages can be blisters, cracks, cuts, and items embedded in them. In some instances, the damages can be repaired, so talk to you mechanic if the damages are not so extensive.
• Performance Issues – When the tires wear down. The treads on them lose their depth and your vehicle will have less traction. Your vehicle will slide when you drive on slippery terrain. Further, the vehicle vibrates and makes noise when you steer or drive on rough terrain. You may also see a drop in gas mileage if the tires are ever out of pressure.
• Tire Light and Wear Indicator – Your vehicle tire light comes on when there is an issue with the tires. If the light stays on even after you inflate the tires, then you may need replacement. Also, check the tire wear indicator, which shows how much the treads wear down.
