​​What’s New With The 2025 GMC Terrain?​

The wait is over! The 2025 GMC Terrain is here! Our smallest SUV has been transformed into a sharper, smarter vehicle offering the latest technology and driver assistance technology found across the GMC lineup.  

The first thing you will notice is the new exterior design of the 2025 Terrain. It now offers a more planted and athletic stance. The grille connects the new headlamps to the lower fog lights to create a distinctive front-end graphic. You can opt for a two-tone roof option in black or gray.  

The 2025 Terrain will be offered in the Elevation trim, which will come standard with 17-inch wheels. With its greater value, you will also find that it comes well-equipped and features more standard equipment and technology than ever before.  

For example, a new 15-inch-diagonal Premium GMC Infotainment System and 11-inch-diagonal driver information center are standard on the Elevation trim.  The new infotainment system is designed to give drivers a seamless and intuitive experience. Using Google Built-in, drivers can reply to text messages or get directions using Google Assistant’s voice-recognition software. Drivers can also add apps such as Spotify to listen to their music and favorite podcasts.  

Seeing your way around will be enhanced by eight available camera views, including an optional rear camera mirror – a first for the Terrain.  

The 2025 Terrain will offer more than 15 standard safety and driver assistance features, as well as the comfort and convenience of heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. New Driver Assistance features for 2025 include Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking, Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Reverse Automatic Braking, Side Bicyclist Alert, and Blind Zone Steering Assist.  

All Terrain models are powered by a 175-horsepower 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with 203 pound-feet of torque. All-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission are also standard on the Elevation trim. You can tow up to 1,500 pounds in the new Terrain.   

Later this year, the 2026 AT4 and Denali will join the Terrain Elevation. The 2026 Terrain AT4 will offer more capability to go further off the highway. This trim level adds a selectable AT4-exclusive Terrain Mode, a lifted ride height, a metal underbody protection shield, animated headlamps and taillamps, red front recovery hooks, 17-inch All-Terrain tires, all-wheel drive, and Hill Descent Control.  

If you’re looking for an ultra-comfortable ride, the 2026 Terrain Denali will deliver more advanced technology and supreme luxury. It will come standard with outboard front and rear heated seats, 19-inch wheels with available 20-inch wheels, and unique Smart Frequency Dampers for improved ride comfort.
